Lava Lamp Update

Tuesday 26 May 2009

STOP PRESS!!!!!

Whilst waiting for the Test Card F / Speaker video to upload, there have been some exciting developments with the lava lamp!

After a quick (probably forbidden) shake, it’s starting to behave like it should!

Yes!! It really is!

Here is a short of it being a lava lamp, rather than giving off the earlier mentioned nuclear explosion in a botlle look.

It’s accompanied by George Harrison and Glass Box, which is the song I was listening to at the time.

An Evening With Test Card F

Tuesday 26 May 2009

To console myself after the Lava Lamp issue, I decided to wire up a speaker for the kitchen and have a relaxing evening with Test Card F. Mmmmmmm.

Here’s a video of a greatly improved evening.

Excitement and Disappointment in One Evening

Tuesday 26 May 2009

It all seems to happen here I tell you.

I picked up my lava lamp earlier from the storage of my parent’s house, and was all excited about plugging it in and making a cool video for you. It was really really exciting.

In fact it was that exciting, I nearly pissed myself.

I switched it on, waited for it to warm up and then recorded it.

Then the disappointment hit.

That was it. The most exciting part of my evening and it’s all ruined.

Ruined I tell you!

So in the meantime, while I cry constantly here’s a film I made whilst on a walk during my recent camping trip.

I’ve called it A Negative Walk In The Woods

Music To Chill By

Tuesday 19 May 2009

I’ve just been reminded whilst listening to a cool album to post a picture of my not very arty “what should I do with some cool album covers? I know I’ll frame them” poster.

In fact, it you’re following me on Twitter, or a friend of mine on Facebook you would’ve seen this update recently

twitter

I’d like to take a moment to explain it, without wandering too far off the original point of this post (which may be difficult as I’m finishing off a bottle of wine).

There’s a blog I follow http://itscomingoutofyourspeaker.blogspot.com/ which has Sound Gallery Volume 1a lot of cool music on it. Now you may (or may not) know that I’m not a fan of the current top 40, and that I like… well… lounge and funky stuff. I found a BRILLIANT album on there today Sound Gallery Volume 1 which I was listening to when I sent my tweet.   I’m also just waiting for Volume 2 to arrive down the phone line (if you get my drift eh eh)

I really recommend you check the blog out, it’s cool.

Right now, I’m listening to a well funky tune called The Headhunter by Mandingo. Nice. Oh and the original of the theme to Dave Allen, you know the one with the Hammond.

Anyway, now that I’ve explained that, and plugged the blog, here’s the original point. A picture of the album cover poster frame not very arty idea, featuring some of my favourite albums.

Poster Thing

Now if you think all this is cool…. just wait til you see me in my new specs! They’ll be coming soon – wow!
