There’s just been some excitement on the Kingsway in Hove.
A camper van caught fire.
I slipped into travel news mode for a moment. I couldn’t help it. Then after ringing 999 to get the fire guys rolling I videoed it for you.
The vehicle pulled to the side of the road after having been alerted, it seemed, by other drivers on the westbound carriageway.
All the occupants escaped unharmed.
The road was closed for a short time near to the King Alfred Leisure Centre as East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service dealt with the fire.
